All of this of which I can actually hear through the phone, loud and clear.

After the details were given, she simply barked abruptly, "Okay, $38.80".

This level of customer service is appalling, especially coming from a brand chemist that is supposed to be reputable and well known. I know what it is like to work in customer service but just because you may be having a bad day, that does NOT give you the right to treat customers like a pain in the neck, especially since they are bringing business to your store.

I called up this Chemist today to see if they stocked Tranexemic Acid and what their charge was. The girl over the phone advised that it was $38.80 so I sent my husband over to buy it for me.

We travel the World and were visiting many friends in Perth. Such a great place. Well one of our really distant friends asked us to find something for her while in Australia. We did shop about and only found the common retail variety. When we talked to the staff here we were lead to a much better item. Better Quality and of a good value. Now to talk out our friend and then return to purchase several containers of the better blend of what we were seeking. Thank You. Always helps to have a smile be polite and expect the best.

Next thing I know, my husband is calling me because the pharmacy assistant (who's name is Jess according to our receipt) had advised him that the prescription medication was $49. I asked my husband to ask her if she had a generic brand for the price of $38.80 to which her response was "What is her Medicare Card number?" - in an annoyed tone of voice!

My husband was made to feel like a second class citizen simply because Jess couldn't explain to him that if he had simply supplied my Medicare card details, the price would be the same as quoted over the phone. And in addition to this, no one explained over the phone that the medication had two different prices depending on whether or not you supplied Medicare Card details.
